The electro-cauterisation is the process of warming up the skin through electricity.
The device used for this procedure is called an electro-cautery which uses the electric current generated between two electrodes to thermally destroy various types of benign cutaneous lesions (papilloma, condyloma, hemangioma, fibroma, etc.).
During the destruction of the tissue, the coagulation of the blood vessels is also performed. The procedure is not painful as it is performed under local anaesthesia. The post-intervention care consists in the local care with disinfectant and the application of an antibiotic cream for a few days.
